Part-time | £15.38 – £18.27 p/h DOE | Part time (16-24 hours p/w, day shift, no weekends)
We’re Windmill Garage, family-run, on London Road in Horndean for over 35 years and rated 4.9 on Google. The work is servicing, repairs and diagnostics on most makes of car and van, done with main-dealer-level diagnostic kit. We agree the price with the customer before we start, so there’s no upselling and nobody leaning on you to find work that isn’t there.
We’re looking for a part-time vehicle technician for two or three days a week. £15.38 to £18.27 an hour depending on experience, which works out at roughly £12,000 to £14,250 a year for two days, or £18,000 to £21,375 for three.
Not everyone wants five days under a bonnet anymore. Maybe you’re winding down, or you’ve got the kids a couple of days a week, or you’re an MOT tester somewhere else with days to fill. Whichever it is, we’ve got two or three days of work a week for a good technician, and we’d rather have the right person part-time than the wrong one full-time.
You’ll need
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent experience
- Solid diagnostics and fault-finding
- To be happy working without much supervision
- A full UK driving licence
- MOT tester certification is a bonus
